22. "Easter" by Terry Powers
"These trees are down the street from my house, behind a now-defunct car wash. They’re only in bloom for a couple of weeks, and I’m actually pretty allergic to them. I pass them every day on my way home from school, and they started to haunt me, so I painted them. I like the shadows of the blossoms against the blue sky, and the contrast with the heavy concrete at the bottom. It was Easter." - Terry Powers
Composed of oil on canvas. On view in Body Language, a group exhibition hosted by Mociun.
